Canon PowerShot G9 Time-Lapse Photography
Time-lapse photography is a cinematography technique whereby each film frame is captured at a rate (1 picture every second in this case) much slower than it will be played back (15 frames per second). When replayed at normal speed, time appears to be moving faster and thus lapsing. Time-lapse photography can be considered to be the opposite of high speed photography.
Processes that would normally appear subtle to the human eye, such as motion in the sky-clouds, become very pronounced. Time-lapse is the extreme version of the cinematography technique of undercranking, and can be considered as a form of stop motion animation.

Got a small digital camera last week to make still photos. It has a video capability. So captured this demolition on a Medium setting - camera has higher grade 30 frames per second - overly much for my casual quick capture needs. I feel content with the low medium quality. Having trouble getting picture quality better than my older 4MP Nikon 4200. Tested this camera in BestBuy with my SD card, and back home pictures looked decent. However, new out of box the quality showed much lower. I exchanged this camera twice over issues with photo quality. And I noted that, oddly, photo sharpness varied from new camera to new camera. In other words, two SD1000 cameras did not take the same photo equally. Odd. Suggesting careless manufacture. I kept it since it has one of the fastest start up times that I need for quick street pictures.
