Can the Canon Powershot G9 tethered shoot with computer?

Why repeat your question (at least you’re using the correct terms I supplied you this time)?

What was wrong with this answer? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aon8V.TtjKciHwUgRroMP2Dty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20100310211219AAYFBsW&show=7#profile-info-XvKIHsWxaa
Surely that gave you enough clues to go on from here ?

What memory card would you reccommend for Canon Powershot G9?

I am just about the purchase a Canon Powershot G9 but there is a few types of memory card it will take, I’m assuming that a SDHC card is the best but there is so many different types of manufacturer. Please help me!

An SDHC card is just a high capacity SD card, nothing more. So, if you think you need a card with more capacity than 2GB, then buy an SDHC card. e.g. 4GB
The very popular and reliable, Sandisk Extreme III would have to be one of THE best cards you can get…

Canon Powershot G9 lens issue?

I’m having an issue with my G9. I can’t see anything through the LCD, and when I take a picture, it comes out blank/black. All of the settings show on the LCD, along with all of the previous pictures that are on the memory card, so I know that it is not an issue with the LCD itself. I’ve reset the entire camera to try to remove any old settings that might have accidentally taken effect, but that didn’t make any difference. Anyone know what might be going on? Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a CCD or CMOS failure. CCDs and CMOS are the eye of the camera, this component may have failed or the connectors became damaged.

Fairly expensive repair if this is the case, and as the screen is still working for other functions, it points to that…

Check the control dial isn’t set to manual and small aperture/fast shutter/low iso combo, switch it to p mode or Av mode and see how it goes.

Unfortunately it does sound like the image device is goosed which isn’t good or cheap news I’m afraid.
