		<description>You have a nice camera, however, it does not support RAW. If you want a Point and Shoot camera that support RAW look into buying the G10 if not just move to a DSLR something like Xs or XSi for beginners.

If you was able to shoot RAW the advantages are way to many to list. Overall ability to edit and correct your files. Something you cant do at will with a compress file like .jpg! You'll be able to fix blemishes, white balance, color temperature, exposure, etc etc etc. It's great if you want to break free and get creative with your pictures ..

Lastly, yes you need an additional program for this. However you will get a freeware with the disk you received in the camera. Or you can purchase programs like Light Room which I use and totally love and recommend!
