Sony DSC-H50 or Canon Powershot G9?
Which is the best in your opinion, hopefully you own the one you say is best, say why.
First of all, let me say that I have never used either and my opinion is based purely on the specifications of the two cameras.
The Sony has a wider range of shutter speeds, a negligible difference in aperture diameters, the ISO settings go higher, the zoom is longer, lower megapixel count (9 vs 12, which unless you're going to be printing photos above A4 size isn't really an issue), faster shooting rate per second, larger sensor among other things.
The Canon has a hot shoe mount if you want to use a more powerful flash or off camera flashes at any point, it's smaller and can save images in RAW format.
Those are the main differences although I'm sure there are some that I've missed. The G9 would probably go in a pocket whereas the Sony may be a bit too large to do that with and may mean the difference between having your camera on you and not, therefore missing a photo opportunity.
Hope this helps to make your decision easier!
