My Canon Powershot G9 won't turn on!?

I have a super awesome camera, but for some strange reason, it won't turn on, I'm really scared, since this is my parent's camera, and I don't want to die. What should I do? Is there any way to fix it without going a repair shop?

    Canon G9, when baterry die it is wont be able to turn ON. try to recharge battery.

    I like your question…"My" G9 won't turn on, and then you say it's your parent's camera…lol
    Anyway, the G9 uses a rechargeable Lithium battery which most likely needs charging, so that's the first thing you should check. Give it a full charge to see if it will then turn on…if it doesn't, then you might need to move (interstate, perhaps) lol.
