Is there a compact camera that performs similarly to the Canon PowerShot G9?
I have seen pictures that the G9 can take and am very impressed with them. However, this camera is not only out of my budget, but I’d also like something more compact.
Is there a camera that you would recommend that performs similarly but is smaller? I would prefer it to be less than or around 1 inch thick.
The Powershot G9 is a discontinued model, the current model in that range is the G11, though it’s significantly different to the G10 such that the G10 has not yet (I believe) been discontinued.
While there are some superb subcompacts and bridge cameras out there, without going to a far less common brand (at higher prices) it’s hard to find a real competitor to Canons Powershot G-Series.
