What’s the best Canon digital camera?

I’m looking to buy a canon digital camera (not the little ones that fit in your pocket, like a nice big black one with a strap to go around your neck). What’s the best kind? I don’t need anything super professional; I’m almost 14 and I’m working on saving for one. Any ideas?
I’m looking to spend less than $1000 please!!! I don’t have a lot of experience with cameras so nothing too professional - I’m not looking to shoot like models or anything to make money…just memories! :) prefereably easy to use and yeah. nothing too crazy!

The best Canon EOS digital camera at present is still the full frame Canon 1Ds, Mark III. If you do not mind the more popular reduced sensor size, the Canon 7D is the best.

If you just want to get started, the Canon entry level Rebel XS is only $570 with lens.

There are other brands of DSLR’s. Have you looked at them?

  2. BL Said,

I would recommend Canon Rebel XSi. It is a good camera that easy to use but provide excellent image and not too expensive but if you want cheaper then Canon Rebel XS is your choice.
If you also want one with HD video function Canon rebel T1i is the way to go.

  4. Patient Paws Said,

You’re looking for what is called a DSLR, which stands for Digital Single Reflex Lens.

The BEST Canon DSLR is the Mark III, but that is going to run you seven thousand or more, you’re looking for more of the Rebel, or perhaps the Powershot.

Do some research, learn what you want to shoot, explore the options.
