I'm looking for a digital camera. Any suggestions?
I've been thinking of getting a camera, but I can't really decide. My dad's the one buying it, so he already chose his(we've been trying to pick one for a few weeks now) and it's a canon. the model number is A710, and from what I saw in-store, it's really good. I like the quality of the picture, but it's a little too bulky for me. I'm only 14, so I don't want to be carrying something that big in my pocket, just because it'd be inconvenient. Some cameras I like are the Sony model DSC-W55 and the canon model sd600.
Are there any around the size and shape of those two that have around the same quality as the A710 model? I'd like to keep the price at around $200, so I don't really want anything over-the-top. Just one that's good for zooming in(that's the main thing my dad's looking for, really) with a high megapixel count that's relatively small and not oddly-shaped. Thanks in advance for the help, since I'll probably be using the camera for the next few years.
The best camera for under $200 is the Canon A550

*4X Optical Zoom
* Very good photo quality, noise levels low through ISO 400 (in good light)
* Well built for the price
* Very good performance
* LCD visible in low light
* Some manual controls
* AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing
* Good movie and continuous shooting modes
* Impressive software bundle

maybe a Kodak easy share…also we purchased our high end digital camera at a pawn shop..it works great and we paid 1/2 of what it would cost in a retail store

I have a Kodak EasyShare CX7300…it is only 3.2 mega pixels, but the results are awesome! The pictures are so clear that it looks like you could just step into them! I think I gave a little over $60 for this camera and it was worth all that and more.
