How much should I charge to photograph a high school reunion?
My brother in law invited my husband and I to his class reunion as guests. After the invitation, he asked me if I would photograph the event for the reunion committee, knowing that I take good photos. They will hire me and pay me for memory cards or any other supplies I need. They asked me to make up an invoice. What should I charge per hour to do this job? I have a Canon digital camera with 8 megapixels, probably considered a pocket camera.
If you have a "pocket camera" aka a point and shoot then you really shouldn’t be charging anything to shoot the event. You’ll pretty much get the same results as someone else using the same kind of camera.

I must agree with K2’s answer if this is family I would not charge a fee other than maybe your expenses( memory cards & batteries) Do a good job and use the images as your future portfolio.
