Does washing and drying ruin a digital camera?

My great husband decided to do laundry. I said "check the pockets" like, 4 times. Whateva! So, now my camera has been through a lot. Will it ever work again? It's a Canon Pixma.

It may work.
Once my kid dropped cordless phone in bubble bath..
never try to switch on the product as that will surely create short circuit.I dried it in sunlight with a white cloth wind around .Patiently dried it for full two months and it works ok even after 2 years.
All it needs is patience and luck

That is pretty doubtful. Between the water and the heat it should be a wreck. See what happens when you turn it on. Does it focus and does it take a picture? If so it is a miracle. If not check the ads in the Sunday paper for a replacement.

Your camera is now perfectly clean, dry and…..dead!

btw…there's no such thing as a Pixma camera…they are actually printers. But, if you washed and dried your printer…expect the same result! If it did happen to survive, though…you could probably expect all your prints to look a little 'washed out'…lol

And the moral of the story is?
    do your own washing!

I highly doubt it'll work. But every now and then miracles do happen…
