A slim compact digital camera, but with plenty of control and at a decent price?
I currently own a Canon A620 powershot, which I like, but it's pretty chunky for taking with me on nights out etc. I'm looking for something very slim and pocket-sized, but it must have plenty of manual controls…for example, as well as the pre-set shooting modes, i'd like the option to manually change the ISO setting, shutter speed, aperture, that sort of thing. I'm no camera expert, so thought i'd ask here instead of trying to trawl through hundreds of online reviews that are often written in pretty technical language.
I've heard that there are some ok Casio cameras that might fit the bill (the Exilim range?)
I'm in the UK, and am looking for something under £100 ideally. Given the current credit crunch, i'm sure there must be some bargains out there?
I think you have a conflict of interest happening.
You need to decide which is more important to you - tiny size or features and quality - those two concepts are somewhat mutually exclusive.

The exchange rate isn't doing anything good for camera prices. Have a look at the review link. It's a quick review and not technical. Most of these are around the £100 mark. Some are the same size as your Powershot, but there are a couple of slimmer ones. The Fujifilm z20fd doesn't look bad but not much user control. Doesn't have to be pink thankfully. The cheaper Casios are a bit sluggish according to Steve's Digicams (another review site) and none made it to this review…

Casio Exilim Z-series. Take a look here:

I use a Z-80, it will fit inside an empty cigarette pack, and has plenty of manual adjustments.

get a sony point and shoot, they're small and cute and have lots of features with virtually no shutter lag.

If you want all the features that you mention in a slim compact digital camera, you'll have to pay a premium price. This model from Canon has manual controls, but it's quite expensive:

You're not going to get *anything* decent for under £100. If you're willing to pay a little bit more, then this is another excellent model from Canon:
