Image stabilization is important on a camera since it will allow you to take a picture without a tripod and still get a very clear picture. The megapixels are only important when you want to use the pictures to blow them up in size otherwise it’s not that big of a deal. You can get a decent camera without spending a whole lot but you might want to do some comparison shopping and a little more research.
