I just bought the Canon XSi digital camera. It comes with a nice little pocket guide, but since I bought my camera in Japan, it’s in Japanese. I’ve already found the user manual through Canon’s website, but they don’t have the pocket guide. Anyone know where to find one online?

These are the things I would like in a digital camera:

-Takes pictures FAST, not laggy
-Takes really good quality pictures
-You can adjust flash strength (with the camera I currently have, the flash tends to be too strong and washes the picture out)
-Takes very good quality videos.
-I will be able to playback and HEAR the videos I’ve taken ON the camera
-Good zoom, without too much blurriness
-A slim camera, nice and thin (so you can put it into a pocket, but not TOO delicate, so I don’t end up dropping it all the time)
-Costs under $300, please don’t recommend anything over $300.

So has anyone tried the Canon SD880 IS? Does it have most of the things I’m looking for? Or do you have any other recommendations?

You seem to have done your homework well. This is a very good camera for the price range.

Remember it’s a photo camera and not a video camera. Videos are not very good but as a photo camera it’s excellent.
